The Basic Course in Faith Communities and Missional Leadership provides you with fundamental insights and skills to edify and equip (build up) your local church to be able to effectively deal with the imminent burdens of contemporary society. Congregational development is a challenging task, and this course provides you with the requisite knowledge to go out and make a difference in your local community by integrating and coordinating diverse congregational memberships, various church events and activities, while also providing the necessary direction and leadership in formulating sound mission statements and visions in the process of building up a local church.
After successful completion of the course, you will be able to: • Edify and equip (build up) the local church as demanded by contemporary society • Take leadership in developing local faith communities that will participate in a positive way in bringing help and hope in the South African society.
Module 1: Understanding the concept, ministry and process of building up the local church Module 2: The missionary identity of the church and how to participate in becoming such a kissionary entity.
